As a 1993 Dowling graduate and certified Hunter's Safety Instructor through the Iowa DNR, I'm very happy to be coaching the Dowling Catholic Trap Club. Lance & Betsy Shay built a strong foundation for our program, positioning us to continue to grow.
On a personal note, I recently began my tenth year in IT at Nationwide Insurance, and I live in Windsor Heights with my wife ('02) and our two kids. Our daughter, Saffron, is a recent Dowling grad, and is in her second year at Iowa State. Our son, Andrew, will be a member of the Dowling class of 2037.
As a life-long hunter and outdoorsman, when Dowling students came to me in 2017 for help founding the Trap Club, I was happy to give them guidance and mentoring in a sport that is important to me. With the help of my wife, Betsy, we built the club on the principles of safety, responsibility, and care for the environment.
I'm a Dowling graduate from the class of 1990, and I've been a member of the Dowling faculty since 2006. My wife Betsy and I live in Des Moines, and own a mixed use agriculture property in Lucas County.
